Busy, busy, busy.
I had an appointment in midtown on Wed. Afterward, on my way back home I stopped by Jim Hanley’s Universe to have them hold a Scott Pilgrim for the signing they’re having 2 weeks from now. The store was packed with people buying the above comic. It’s an Obama Spiderman comic, I read it, it’s pretty idiotic, but whatever, I guess Marvel needs to sell stuff, Obama on anything probably sells pretty well, and I bought one. It’s the second printing, which means they’re already done with the first printing, at this rate I bet a third printing will be happening soon too. If you didn’t know Obama has expressed that he is a Spiderman fan, and that probably got those smart guys at Marvel thinkin’… !!!! Otherwise I’m quite relived that the change of presidents has finally happened. Good riddance.
Watched LOST, which was insane. I used to be able to keep up with what was going on sort of. but now? like… yeah… pretty whack.
I love it.
Also made some plans for the new loft. A bedroom needs to be built. Maybe I’ll post them soon.
Here’s a comic titled “everything is over” I did for MOCCA this year. It was originally going to be 16 pages but got reduced to 8 pages due to time constraints. I think it works better as an 8 pager, and will likely not draw the other 8 pages. Finally uploaded.
I was a college dj for four years while in school. the station was kcpr and it was probably one of the nicest parts of my college experience. having an access to a huge amount of great music and constant updates on new releases with a great community of like minded music lovers was actually more awesome than it sounds. Although in retrospect I did take a year off when I was abroad and when I returned most everyone I knew was graduated, the new kids were cool and it turned out to be a good year station wise. I’m still coping with not being a part of that station. Searching for new music is an annoying/rewarding task, I’ve sort of forgotten how to do outside of a college radio station atmosphere. Anyways I will post some short reviews of cd’s I bought.

I got my FIVE carnifexes. i think they will all be boomfexes, probably. also unknowingly picked up the new Meathaus compilation SOS. it’s in FULL COLOR. really rad, i look forward to reading it, especially on the subway for some reason. I might see hellboy 2 tonight b/c batman is sold out every time, by that i mean the imax version i don’t even care to watch it on a normal movie screen. the problem is that every showing was sold out last weekend, even 2am and 6am showings. gonna name my hive fleet SUPERFLAT i think. it will be just that.
